PJ. Have not been on here much recently because my OH also has a serious medical condition and we've been doing the rounds in London with tests and scans so sorry to hear your news. These diagnoses can be a real shock to the system and cause great anxiety. hope you can find some equilibrium until your surgeon can sort you out. All good wishes to you.

My husband will be undergoing surgery on Aug 14th so I'll probably only be a passing visitor on here. Meanwhile in the course of about 10 days of non attention vegetable plot and tomato plants have gone completely to pot. Have tomato side shoots over a foot long (some even bearing flowers!) so not sure whether to snip them out or leave them to their own devices.

All the very best to you, PJ, and to your husband, Primrose! I hope all goes well.

Good health really is our most precious attribute, istn't it?

I've been looking but not saying much as I'm using my iPhone. Haven't had a computer at home for while as my laptop died a year ago and I've only just got around to getting another - now I'm out of the habit of using one so rarely switch it on. Too much to do at work to spend much time on here.

PJ, don't give up the big plot just yet. A friend of mine had a bypass some years ago. Before the operation he could scarcely walk up the stairs without needing a sit down, but only a couple of months afterwards he was out sailing again and said he'd not felt better in years. You may feel so good you want to take on another big plot!

Good luck, and to your OH Primrose.
Chantal
