It has been suggested I grow too much. I have done something about it this week. There was a 'Grow Your Own' article in the Telegraph comic on Saturday "Chillies : One plant can produce 20 or more chillies so unless you have a serious capsicum addiction, a single pot is perfect". I've taken note and thrown out some spares and only potted on the best and cut us down to only 19 plants! There are also 13 sweet peppers, but it doesn't say how many of those are reasonable.
I planted 4 each of Cabbage Primo, Cauliflower Snowball and Calabrese Marathon in the greenhouse on a day I can't find in my diary (Edit - found it 4th April) and they were all ready together when we came back from a week away - it was supposed to be my fault!
We do have surplus and distribute our largesse but it does work as a bartering process for manure, little engineering jobs and brownie points - well you have to cover failures and with plenty of space the extra work isn't great, I think tidy is less work.
