And our rain is wet, but mercifully not too heavy and not snow.

Well we have no snow or rain and the outside temperature reads 4.3 degrees. It is, however, blowing a gale and the wind chill factor makes venturing outside a not so pleasant prospect :wink:

Really bitter east wind here, which was bad enough down the allotment site this morning.

We've just had a "bracing" walk along the beach this afternoon, although the old dog decided to stay in bed at home :D

One of our granddaughters crossed the very choppy Channel on a ferry this afternoon - she would confirm that!

Everything white here and the NE wind is throwing up drifts. It thawed a bit this afternoon but now it's down below 0 degrees again. More snow forecast.

It is interesting to note that , according to Gilbert White's diary,1784 was just like this with frost and snow continuing well into April.

Two inches of snow here this morning, so no hay making today. :wink:

What a comparison, Clive, just shows how behind we are this year. And with the weather outlook, we must be the minimum of a month behind now. This year will go so quick when it does break.

Strong wind here still and we've had heavy rain all night. It's stopped now, but more to come by the looks of it.

We could do with some more rain :roll:

I put a ladder against the wall and took these photos....as you can see much warmer on the other side of the wall... :wink: .

..well it was in August 2010.

About 3 inches of snow here. Have a load of pots soaking in the bath. Going to go wash them in a moment so can get some seedlings potted on and then some more seeds started off in the newly vacated (and washed again) seed trays.
