Reminds me of the surgeon I saw for a post-op check-up after he'd repaired a knee cartilege for me. I complained I still had pain and couldn't kneel down easily.
"Well, why do you want to kneel?"
"Because I enjoy gardening and need to kneel to plant and pull up weeds";
Well, you'll have to get your gardener to do it in future".

Hmm, yes, along with my butler, my housekeeper and my chauffeur!
:lol:

He'd obviously never had to pull up his own weeds!

JB.

All our many visits to A&E during the nosebleed saga cost us nearly £30 in car parking fees. One of the doctors said the staff pay £20 a month for the privilege of parking at their workplace.

I wouldn't have minded so much had the money been going into the NHS coffers raher than the private car parking firm's pocket.

Thats been a real big problem to a lot of people who just cannot afford to pay these charges and in some cases; (Example)

About five years ago I had an event that threatened my eye-sight, I had to get to a hospital ASAP. The hospital was half an hour away, I couldn't wait to explain my need for an emergency ambulance/car so I drove, I shouldn't have.

When I got to the hospital I didn't have any money and I was more concerned about the emergency. Within 30 minutes i'm being shipped to another hospital by ambulance leaving my car-keys with the admin staff.

I won't go into the detail, it was a nightmare of jobs-worth attitudes. A friend recovered my car but not without difficulty. The good news is, we no longer pay for hospital parking in Wales.
How are you supposed to start and maintain a healthy lifestyle if it completely removes a wine lover’s reason to live?

It's a disgrace how much money is lost to the NHS through car parking companies creaming off money. One wouldn't mind paying quite so much if it was actually being reinvested back into the hospital concerned. Another case of nobody thinking through the long term consequences of decisions made lowr down the supply chain.

Being able to park would be an achievement in itself. :x
