No lawn mowing today then, Clive. :)

Cleared my drive, then off down the other end of the village to do my Mums, back up this end of the village to do the Rectory, Gatehouse, Church flat, and the old peoples bungalows.
Got a nice cup of coffee at the Gatehouse, and one of the lovely pensioners insisted on giving me a box of biscuits, after much arguing.... :)

Now just enjoying a nice cup of coffee, oh i did make a large mound of snow outside one of my friends drives, it did make her laugh when she saw it.... :)

We had the predicted 4 inches of snow.

We had snow yesterday evening but only about 5cm and it's melting quickly today in the sunshine

I've got the Atco battery mower on charge all ready though... :?

So I can use it, if necessary, to help start old Vauxhaull tomorrow...and get it up the garage for Test....number plate looks a fail without delving any deeper.....

On being neighbourly this morning after clearing my drive I encountered a dozen distant neighbours clearing the cul de sac opposite that slopes down to join my road two houses up. Community spirit. :D

Sitting here with a coffee after helping the chaps with the junction and clearing five neighbours drives, thinking I'm surrounded by widows, four of those drives belonged to elderly widows. :?

Had about 2 inches of in my part of Cardiff yesterday, all washed away by the overnight rains.Fine now with a watery sun trying it's hardest to raise the temperature over the 7 deg C which it is at the moment.Went to the allotment to put kitchen waste in the compost bin and the ground there was frozen and the paths treacherous so definitely no digging for a while.

Whilst making heroic efforts to reach the Rugby Club bar on Sunday, I noticed the lower branch of a Hawthorn starting to show signs of coming into bud. :?

Evening Shallot Man, may i be the first to congratulate you, on your heroic efforts to make it to the Rugby Club Bar.
I hope you were well rewarded for your efforts.....

Bet you didn't give the budding Hawthorn another thought, on the home journey. :)

Minus 7 here last night but glorious sunshine for most of the day. It looks as if could go down even further tonight but I spare a thought for my youngest daughter and my sister on the continent where the night temperatures are down to minus 14 and 17 respectively. Even the rivers are freezing over.

Watch out for snow here tomorrow and Friday - it looks as if there could be a lot of it!!!

Thankfully living in the tropical end of the country we have been let off lightly with no snow - so far :!: Tiss a bit chilly out though and the harbour froze but got the thermals out and braved going out in it.
