Don't you just love weather forecasts, what's this supposed to mean:
Tuesday:
A cold day with further showers and sunny spells in between, showers easing late into the afternoon. Less windy than on Monday but still brisk. Possibly more persistent rain later. Maximum Temperature 12 °C
On reflection I suppose more rain than sun in the morning, more sun than rain in the afternoon then a really wet evening to finish off. Just about done everything I can think of under cover!

I know, Geoff, it's revolting, isn't it? My poor brassicas, planted out yesterday, are being bashed about by the wind, although I did plant them into their own little hollows. At least, they wont' be short of moisture!
The greenhouse and tunnel cloches are full to bursting ...

I notice we are on page 18 of this post - we seem to be still waiting.
We had very heavy hail showers yesterday . I'm glad I resisted planting out the runner beans.

I did spot the pair of 617 Sqn Tornado GR4 with the commemorative tail art today, arriving from the West, out of RAF Coningsby, and turning to route North as they passed us.

As well as plane spotting....I had a knapsack on this morning and did some weed spotting....
Then, at last, I went down the Kitchen Garden and got "my" 6 rows of Parsnips sown and the Chard too. The 15 mm of rain had softened the ground that had previously gone hard and nutty and it worked down really lovely with 2 passes of the Wolf 3 tine cultivator.
The winds gone round to East now here.......
Clive.

So you missed the old stars - no concept of Lincolnshire geography I'm afraid.
