Looks great Westi! Glad you got it done.
My dwarf beans are finally up, second sowing, first lot went mushy, probably too cold in the greenhouse. Mini cucumbers, also second sowing, are peeking through and some of the flower seeds are making an appearance. Hopefully things will really get going now, it’s been a tough few weeks trying to get anything to germinate.

Thanks Geoff, just ordered the canes, delivered as well for £23.99 for 10 canes but I suspect I will go back for more sizes as I think most need replacing.

I hope they are OK. I've bought quite a lot from them and the service is usually quite good, they are local to me but only do mail order. For anybody that remembers them they bought the Kays Horticulture business.

Not a bad day down at lottie but I did get caught in a couple of showers but over in a blink & it turned lovely this evening. Tomorrow is a different kettle of fish but I need the rain to soften the soil a bit so I can get the poles in deep for the runner frame so it is really secure. Mainly planting things out today but I would have preferred to pot some on again but no more pots; but they are big enough & covered so should be OK. The pea plants were planted - not sowed direct this time, but I diligently nipped off every seed & threw them over the fence onto the track & set up the animal deterrent as well. Got baby strawberries on the plants so weeded them & topped up the Strulch, which I find works well with the slimy things.
Seemed a busy day to show so little but one of those days where I put down the trowel or fork down & couldn't locate them! Yep in the compost bin with the weeds! Doh!

Well we have a new King & Queen!
I usually find these official events a bit boring but I watched quite a lot. Thought their were nice touches being inclusive to other faiths & giving them an actual key role & not just a token gesture. The camera cover panning out to see the size & beauty of Westminster Abbey, the choirs were amazing & the BBC was very grown up for a change & didn't go around doing close ups of Harry or other celebs in the mix.
However, I am now bored, as every other channel just gave up & put on any trash they can find.

Highlight for me was the Navy marching 12 abreast merging into 6 abreast and how they all the regiments started together.
Commentators were a pain except the bloke that gave information the regiments procedures.
I'm looking forward to the concert tonight.

Yes, it looks like you are due a flypast by BBMF Lancaster, out to the north west and west... hoping the weather is ok for them today. Sun is trying to break through here but have seen a video of low cloud and indeed a funnel cloud recently near their base.

Meanwhile...I'm not setting any potatoes and no tomatoes in the tired greenhouse...neither plan held.. both are doing very nicely.
now.. I'm not bothering with cucumbers in the old cold frame.....
...to update...4 Merlin cucumbers are up in the very very tired not plugged in propagator..
