Somewhat confused with the weather as the news has been indicating the snow & sleet was moving south from the north. On the local news tonight they had the predicted radar pathway & it is a new front from the south hitting us very early morning, with a lagging front behind coming tomorrow night. The IOW & Hampshire looked like they were going to receive some proper snow but we might get lucky with just some sleet & light snow fall. Will know tomorrow I suppose!

Managed to get 80% of the tunnel prepped today & tidied the shed - again! Cauliflowers & Cabbage seedlings are up & the mice haven't found the pea & broad bean re-sows yet, although that might have been assisted with the heavy grind of black peppercorns they had this sowing.

Snow here in Kent today. Yesterday was fine. We now have a blanket of snow and it's still falling. It used to be that Jan/Feb was the most likely time for snow. Now it seems to be March. I wonder if gardening advice books and when to plant, etc, will need to be updated. I've got nothing on the go outside yet.

Snow mostly washed away now by light rain and drizzle, and traffic - even just bird traffic.

Even so, we're expecting heavy falls later today.

No snow here but there's plenty around, major disruption north of us yesterday, Aberdeenshire seems to be knee deep in it and very cold too, there's a bit of skiing going on up the road in Glen Shee, but most of the snow is man made on the lower runs. The snow gates are open, so I might take my camera up there to see if I can get some nice shots later in the week.

Not very pleasant here, snow, sleet and rain, did a couple of hours outside first thing this morning, then have been in the glasshouse….still cold in there, messing about with some over-wintered pots of perennials….at least I did put them inside the glasshouse last night…..

Aberdeenshire, eh? In my opinion Aberdeen train station is the coldest place in the universe.

I used to enjoy cross-country ski-ing and would go from home to local shop, or wherever, on my skis if there was snow. Better than trudging through it. An elderly man was very excited about seeing this and wanted to take my photo. I don't really like having my photie took but it seemed unkind to refuse him. :D He was chuffed to bits!

My Aunt and Uncle had a holiday caravan in Glen Shee when I was a child. It also had an outside toilet tent. Apparently (I don't know and I did not witness this) my Uncle Jack was sitting on the bog when the tent blew away.

No snow here on the south coast just cold drizzle, but in the north of the county they had a few centimetres & the usual issues travelling from A-B. More significant rain expected overnight and the yellow warning lifted for the whole area. No significant increase in the max temp for the next week but min temps won't cause too many problems for the baby plants, but most days are rain or drizzle so will have to wait & see whether I can put the early spuds in.

Light snow flurries during the day here in E. Lincolnshire...but forecast is showing potential for 12 hours of rain tomorrow, with some sleet and a strong East wind.. 'Wind in the East no good for man or beast'

Work today has mostly been in the big greenhouse, back greenhouse and polytunnel..

Just been down the garden to see a couple of V22 Osprey aircraft go by, routing back to base.

I see in the field next to the farm yard tractors are still out working with the seed drill..they've no doubt seen the wet forecast too.!

Wet, wet, wet here (chucking it down) and now drizzle.

Lots of hungry wild parakeets flying around here. Most of the wild berries seem to have disappeared now so don't know what they,re feeding on.

Just started to snow, none forecast for us, I reckon weather forecasting must be one of the most pointless jobs around, money for old rope phrase springs to mind.

I’m sure the way the local forecasts change so quickly, they just look out of their windows…😀

We think that there is an optimistic forecaster and a pessimistic forecaster and they work alternate shifts...
