Hope you have the best of times while staying with your Son in Uganda.
Do you know i can't place where Uganda is, is it just up from Skegness.

Morning OH,
It's very much like Skegness.
Around 70-80 degrees all year. Very tropical climate with bananas and jack fruit growing outside the back door

Morning PJ, just enjoy it while you're there, and come back with some lovely memories, and stories for us of course.

Now, that has reminded me.....Skegness Natureland use to have a greenhouse in which there was a Banana growing that often used to get a mention in the local news once in a while when it just about made it to fruit. I don't know if said Banana is still there....I was a very little lad when I last visited...and I suspect the centre was brand new then.....
I also remember being just a little frightened in the crocodile section....it used to have a light show with it then going night and I think a thunderstorm being represented.?..again a long while ago.........
Just had a look at the website....seems it remains much the same.
http://www.skegnessnatureland.co.uk/tropical.htmPerhaps I should have a ride out to see the crocodiles..
I perhaps would if the model railway layout was still up the other end of town......

Go for it Clive, you just can't beat a trip down memory lane, and there would be fish and chips.

Some very good news, there has just been a rare sighting of our stripey friend on the forum, now that's made my afternoon.
Relaxes back into the armchair with pleasant thoughts abound.

Evening Clive, good gardeners always notice the jobs that need doing.
I noticed some Snowdrops popping through today, and of course some jobs that needed doing as well.

..these Snowdrops are in full flower and in fact starting to go over...good job that I spotted them today...
Leaf raking this morning on the Cherry walk.....and then trim out of Loch Ness Blackberry....and this afternoon the ground was just about fit to progress a bit more border cutting down and forking over....but now very much on the wet side..and potential for it being wetter tomorrow..

I wish they'd stop farming wind - there's more than enough of it.

The rain is lashing against our west facing windows and the roof slates are rattling - it's going to be a disturbed night.
I closed all the flaps in the greenhouse, hopefully it will still be there tomorrow morning.
