Yes - and I've noticed the presence of heavy rain all yesterday, and promised all day toady. Why do I bother?

Morning Alan, just to cheer you up, i've just walked up from working at the other end of the village, as it started raining that heavy, and the rain was running out the bottom of my trousers.
And just to rub it in, it now looks as if it's going to brighten.

Good Morning OH, if you want strong gusty winds then make your way down here
Rreally strong today, and still raining. I managed to get to the plot on sunday, but it's been tipping it down ever since. Think I might start building an ark

Woke up to white hills all around us! We ourselves just had slush and rain, so not complaining, but I do hope it gets a bit warmer soon. The greenhouse is bursting at the seams and even that is too cold for the tomatoes and the fuchsias, so the spare bedroom windowsill (luckily, long and very light) is covered with pots of leeks, sweet marjoram, parsley and other herbs.

I'm sending some southern(ish) sun/warm up your way Monika - we have plenty to spare, although we may think we don't!

Hi All, We woke up to a light covering of snow on the garden again, but it has melted now in the sunshine. There's a bitterly cold north westerly wind though so I think it will be greenhouse work pricking out seedlings today.

Thank you, Suzie, that's very kind of you! We had plenty of sunshine today which makes the greenhouse very warm, but the wind outside is freezing and every so often it throws down some sleet and snow. Well, it is April, after all.
