That's alright Alan, i'm not a huge sun lover anyway, it's the fair skin you see.

Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
There's no fool like an old fool.

To all of you who have been suffering in the rain: it looks as if relief is nigh!
I understand the bank holiday weekend is going to be great for almost everyone in the UK, so I hope you all enjoy it, particularly those of you who sadly have to work from Monday to Friday!

Canes put to the flat Sweetcorn this morning...ground had gone to a soggy sponge on top and they had pulled over...so felt they needed canes to maintain the illusion rather than using Sweetcorns own root self righting powers as can happen....
Rather nice sunshine returned today.
..Yew hedge trimming completed...some lawns mowed ahead of Monday which is Tuesday next week
..and Potato tops removed to bonfire heap..
Noted on Gardeners World tonight..Spaghetti Marrows....perhaps we may be able to sell the glut of them that we have now.
..one of those things I grow for old times sake...some were first given to me back in 1973-ish as, I think, a Johnsons Seeds vegetable starter kit one Christmas.? My brother and I got a kit each..Sweetcorn and the Spaghetti Marrows.......
I have a feeling I may have written that before on here....wonder if I told the tale the same as last time.......
