A little bit of a cool breeze, out East here....

Coming in full from the East...no good for man nor beast... Except it made it dry enough to put a few stripes in a small formal lawn, on a high setting and that always cheers things up... even if everything else still needs doing all around..

...then just as it's dried a bit, I see a drop of rain is forecast overnight.

Hope all your building work goes smoothly, Westi, as long as they are good blokes, they will understand any concerns you have.

More dark and damp days here, there doesn’t seem any end to them at the moment.

Had some bloods taken Tuesday, to see if they can get to the bottom of why i’m not feeing right….got a text Thursday, they have lost them….

Well OH I suppose at least they were honest & advised you I suppose, but annoying nether the less. I hope you get your new appointment quickly.
I have done what I can regarding emptying Mr's stuff out of the garage but my back took umbrage so they will just have to sort it with us supervising. I did manage to prep & clear the garden area where their bits will go. I made a wee pile of everything separately out there. I don't know if I needed to do this but never had a skip before & unsure what they would or would not accept, mind it's main content will be the old garage which is low grade asbestos, so think they can probably deal with some uncontaminated broken bits & lots & lots of packaging. My experiment drowning the paper stuffed in the packages in a big trug has not made any impact except for getting me soaking wet, not broken down one bit.
Back is still moaning a bit but I will go down tomorrow & do some sows for the staging in the tunnel & anything non bending. I'm pretty sure I will be spending more time down there once things really start!

Re potting a load of large display plants yesterday and today...so I'm joining the achy back dept too...not helped by the blooming cold NE air flow and light rain.
Did I say it was getting lighter at each end of the day.?....well, it didn't seem to get light at all today.!!
We were spoilt by a sunny day last week, when it smelt like growth was underway in the greenhouse....cold and damp in there too this week....

Already the garage has gone! I have to credit the teams from this company, they really graft & really cheerful chaps. I was going to the plot tomorrow but there is some big claw thing coming to lift all the bits out, will probably give me palpitations but not seen anything like this on a small scale, only seen big things on demolished buildings on TV. The neighbours no doubt will also be watching anxiously!

We got all the re-build quotes yesterday as well which was a relief as friends were sharing how much their work cost which scared the life out of us. As it turns out they had the full bangs & whistles as a full extension not a stand alone little garage. Managed to save the yellow rose I like, but sacrificed the red one as it was not keen on me & tried to bite me every opportunity! Company are saying 6 weeks to normality - it will be a long 6 weeks with the critters in the mix!

How are you feeling health wise OH? Hoping you are on the mend even if just a bit!

Morning Westi, thank you for your kind words…..starting to feel like i’m getting there, just annoyed with the lack of energy and still haven’t got shot of the sore throat and cold symptoms…..should get the blood results today, see if they show up anything.

Glad you seem to have a good lot of blokes doing your job….it really does make a huge difference!

Glad your picking up a bit. What we really need is some cheering weather instead of the perpetual drear to get a bit of positive thinking going.

OH, there's a lot of folk with a lingering virus thing, chest infections and the like. I agree Geoff, we need some good weather that should help everyone feel a bit better.

A good job I can laugh at most things as, I got a call from the Drs today and was expecting them to have my results but, oh no, it was to say they had now managed to mislay the second blood tests…..so had to go down for the 3rd time….I did ask the Nurse if she would like me to hand deliver the blood directly to the Hospital….third time lucky.

I reckon you best check if they are using it to feed their houseplants at the surgery....

Had a mower out today...had to have it up on setting 6 and even up to top setting of 7 in places....just a little long.!
Nice to see some more stripes, I made them a bit 'alternative'...by starting on a curvy lawn edge and perpetuating across the lawn...

Blimey OH, loosing one lot is an accident but doing it twice???? I think they need to look at their processes. Where are the samples? They have your details on the packets including your NHS number, all personal information! Maybe report to the actual hospital admin?

I have a giant trench in the back now & still have all the rubble as well, as only the tiny skip was collected. I am loosing more garden than expected as well as the council had come back to say Mr can live & sleep in it due to his disabilities, but this is just for him & it is not something the next tenant can do. The insulation has to be thicker for this so the footings have to be wider. Looks like more pots in the future then!
