I tend to grow more plants than I need "to be sure I have enough" and then give away the surplus plants to other allotment holders and friends.

BTW, I grew dozens of Curly Kale and put several blocks in 2-3" pots on offer at the allotment site. Couple of folk took a few each.

One old boy was talking to me this week and asked if I would have any this year, I said, "Yes, why?" answer was his grandchildren who will not touch cabbage could not get enough of it.
