Hi The M

Try googling meno-moment

I came up with this:

"A Meno Moment"

Two elderly ladies had been friends for many decades. Over the years they had shared all kinds of activities and adventures. Lately, their activities had been limited to meeting a few times a week to play cards.

One day they were playing cards when one looked at the other and said, "Now don't get mad at me... I know we've been friends for a long time... but I just can't think of your name! I've thought and thought, but I can't remember it. Please tell me what your name is."

Her friend glared at her. For at least three minutes she just stared and glared at her. Finally she said, "How soon do you need to know?"

The rate I'm going, that could soon be me, Alan!

I've just had another meno moment. Ten minutes ago I put some chocolate muffins in the oven to bake. Now I've just found two eggs sat on the worktop, unused!

My biggest worry is that I will pay the Memsahib her housekeeping twice in one week.

Now that Ant and Dec (the ConDem Combo) have apparently decided to change the age at which we can be sonsidered "old" enough for what I have seen described as "handouts"

it's a particular pleasure to be already older than their proposed new definition

I cycled to the allotment with 6 brassicas to plant. When i got there I put my hand in my pocket for the keys - no keys. I've left them at home. That's normal.

I left the plants by the shed and pedalled back home. Looked high and low for the keys - no keys. So I grabbed the spare and went back.

I started planting and found I had brought 7 3-inch pots instead of 6. You can guess what was in the 7th.

One of my commonest problems is getting halfway through a sentence and then forgetting the next

Well, we've just had a stressful THREE HOUR senior moment in our household today when my husband discovered he'd lost his electronic car key which he hadn't used since yesterday morning. It was missing from its normal place in his jacket pocket hung up in our front lobby. We turned the house upside down and he revisited all the places he'd walked around or called in yesterday without success. We were beginning to think it would cost us a small fortune to replace it as these electronic gadgets are not cheap. .

I was just about to put on my trainers and go out when I found a black object looking like a giant stag beetle lurking in one of my shoes. The key had obviously slipped out of his jacket pocket and fallen into it as he'd hung it up. Domestic blood pressures are now slowly returning to normal!
