got the mower out this week to mow the lawn... it started first pull , with a bit of whitish oily smoke, but was running rough , down on power and after the oily exhaust smoke cleared it looked a bit blackish... only a couple of weeks since it had carb troubles so i was a bit peeved.... looked like it was running on choke... wagling the choke lever only mad it run worse, i unclipped the air filter housing which improoved matters, took out the rather oily filter element and it went as sweet as a nut...... guess when i sharpened the blade earlier in the week id tipped it enough to get engine oil into the air filter :oops:

Mower still sitting in the shed waiting for me to have enough readies to take it to the servicing place.
Not helped by my not having a car so having to scrounge a lift or get a taxi.
I`ve strimmed the grass off to keep it tidyish.
