You could try Wallis - I buy the bulk of my seeds from them.

Pink Banana is quite good too.

The netting being against the concrete paths the weeding isn't too bad. I'm retired with nothing better to do!

Just chipping in a small point. Most people seem to agree that Butternut squash is not the best choice in the UK climate, because it is slow too mature. I grow Burgess Buttercup from The Real Seed Company and also Uchiki Kuri/RedOnion squash which I get from Simpsons. The Real Seed Company seems to make a speciality of hunting out fast-maturing vegetables - see also their Latah tomato, which is great. Burgess Buttercup does very well for us here in Kent. OK, you can say the soft south, but we are in a frost pocket so we have to take care not to plant out too early. And Geoff - I'm very impressed with your plot!

Hi Real food, Thanks for the link I'll look at that.
Hi Ken, I tried last year to grow the butternut from the real seed co but got nowhere, I think the fact that we had such a bad year last year had a lot to do with it. This year I shall protect them better and I have invested in grafted one though I am going to also try Queensland blue. I grew the grafted tomatoes from Dobies 2 years ago and they were amazing, so after such disappointment last year I have gone back to them this year.
