I sow Gladiator, Tender and True and Hollow Crown. All very different but all very good roasted.

Hi folks.
I've always used the toilet roll core method. I sow three seed into the top and keep them in my unheated greenhouse. Usually after a couple of weeks, they emerge, nearly all at the same time. Once they've been up for a few days, I plant them out. In the past I've noticed that if they're left too long before planting, it's easy to snap off the root. I shall be sowing mine this coming weekend, Gladiator. In the past I've always used Tender and True, but decided on Gladiator as they claim it has good canker resistance, we'll see. I know some folks say that using this method can lead to forked roots, but I've never had this problem.

Cheers...freddy.

Thanks everyone for sharing your methods. Depending on the time I have available I may try both methods as a bit of a test to see what works in my part of the world (and my life!) It has been an informative thread for me so thank you all once again. :D
