When I first started teaching - a pupil came to the staff room door and asked me to bend down as she needed to whisper something to me. I did and as our hair touched she whispered "I think I have nits".

We always had itchy heads when nitty Nora visited and then it went very PC and we were told that to look through a child's hair was technically assault so we had to peer surreptiously if we suspected that head lice were present.

Good job I'm not a gentleman OH!
