Yes, we do. We are also self managed. We are quite lucky that there are a few of us that are do rather than just talk about it and all of us play our part in managing the site.
The plot next to mine when unworked for too long. for two years nothing was really done. Letters were sent out but they would dig for a weekend and then nothing until the next letter.
I do know of a site that only offers 6 month lease so that they can check progress is being made. Basically if you are showing willing then it doesn't cause a problem but if haven't worked 20% be it clearing or planting then they don't renew the agreement. I understand that this has been a help in reducing the waiting list.

they'll all be at now,we subscribe to KG but they're promoting a pretty dodgy practice ,unfortunately there will always be some fool who'll spoil it for the rest.the tyres left on our site had been painted with brown shed paint i ask you

Listening to jeremy vine today his gardening slot came from the malvern show,his lovely welshman was sowing spinach in old tyres aaagh!!
