Were due some wintery showers and light frosts, but I have frogs in the pond and tonight found some fish fry that were obviously from last year so the fish population has matured enough to breed.

Once the newts appear I know it really will be the begining of spring.
Kindest regards Piglet

Hi Vivian

We went to Weymouth a few years ago and the outlaws pretty much dominated our whole holiday so the Old Man said never again. We'd go but further out, maybe over by Durdle Door etc. I didn't mind it really, it's just that the days out weren't starting until 2pm!!!. We normally start ours at 7.30am ish to make a whole day of it.

Anyway, we're supposed to be having very cold winds and snow here for the next few days so things held off again. Will be going into town instead to get some netting for the brassicas etc and to browse around the pound shop for lottie bits and bobs.

Actually, I think I might go and have something else pierced. Just have to decide what bit
Lots of love

Hi Chris
I'm in between Newdeer and Maud, Half an acre in the middle of farm land. I'm actually a Geordie but been living in the north east of Scotland for 25 years.
Just looked at my pond and think that if the frogs want to do any woing they will have to borrow a spade to dig through 2inches of ice and 6 ins of snow.
I have been the unoficial post office for the last week, the postie could't get round a lot of the local farms so he has been leaving a lot of peoples mail with me, they then come round with their tractors and dig out my drive entrance from the piled up snow from the snow ploughs and collect their mail, good arrangement.

PIGLET That's definitely a no-no

Got my eyebrow pierced last June (reminder of seeing U2 in Manchester - one of the best days of my life)

Thought i'd get my ears re-pierced and get an ear ring at the top of my ear.

There is no-way that anything else is getting done you naughty Piglet.

I'll slap your trotters for you!!!
Lots of love

Lizzie
