Unfortunately I got Bronchitis for Christmas! Started Monday evening, diagnosed on Christmas day. On Antibiotics now so cannot even sample the red! I have not managed to do anything in the garden, have only been firing on one cylinder. I have really enjoyed reading all your cheery comments the last few days to give me some distraction.
I am 50% better today and I managed to get soil under my nails at last!!! I have just repotted the Lemon Tree - a warm indoor job.

I also got a £20 voucher for the local garden centre and I am on a promise for something else I know not what!!! (To ill to partake in it this week I am told!!).
Maybe a person's time would be as well spent raising food as raising money to buy food - Frank A. Clark.

Dear garden_serf, so sorry to read you are feeling quite poorly, hope you carry on improving with all possible hast, and are fully recovered for the New Year.

The being on a promise bit sounds quite exciting. :)
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.

Get better soon, garden serf!

I did my first digging today after succumbing to a rather nasty virus mid-December. Really enjoyed it but my legs ached afterwards. At least, as it's freezing now, the frost should get into the dug patch, which was the idea. :)

I are mostly bin buildin a shed from freecycle sourced timber.

However that fat bloke with a sleigh didn't visit Wickes for me and get some corrugated roofing, so I'll have to do it myself. :D
