Forgot to say, just got back from the stables in Wavedon, went to support a local band that were raising money for charity.
They were very good indeed and played some excellent 1930s songs.

Has anyone else got to the point were they started digging, but don't want to pull certain things up yet just incase we get a really nice october and there are another few meals to be had off the plants.

yup. i pulled out the dying pumpkin vine, and accidentally knocked off the top half of one of my surviving pepper plants (i keep knocking bits of them off. they make me feel like a total klutz), but the tomatoes are still trying to ripen and the strawberries are still flowering (are they hopeful? or just dumb?), so i hate to call the growing season done and start prepping the space for next year. (slightly raised beds so it's harder for me to knock off the tops of the peppers, for starters...)

Think we might have had a touch of frost last night, job to tell at the moment, hope it hasn't caught too much over the allotments.

I did cover a few things last night in anticipaton, and seem to have escaped any damage, until the next time that is.
