Dear donedigging,i am me, and he is he
I saw my old pal Herbie tonight,he is not very happy he lost his runner beans to slugs, and now he's lost alot of his broad beans to the deer
He put a fence round his broad beans, and now the deer is eating his new runner beans he replaced.
He would not take notice of the old codger and put the fence round after he set them, mine are perfectly all right it can not get to mine.

Morning all, Old Codger might not say a lot, but when he does it's pretty effective.

Hi OH,
If the slugs and the deer prefer your produce to that of the Old Codger, then your's must be of better quality

To return to Jopsy. I just looked it up - she hasn't posted since February - but she's a teacher and it's the growing season and it's difficult to balance those two thing timewise.

Dear Alan, it was a sad day when they stopped selling those sort of trousers.
