Dear donedigging,i am me, and he is he :lol:

I saw my old pal Herbie tonight,he is not very happy he lost his runner beans to slugs,and now he's lost alot of his broad beans to the deer
He put a fence round his broad beans, and now the deer is eating his new runner beans he replaced. :(

He would not take notice of the old codger and put the fence round after he set them,mine are perfectly all right it can not get to mine. :lol: :twisted:

If the slugs and the deer prefer your produce to that of the Old Codger, then your's must be of better quality :wink:

To return to Jopsy. I just looked it up - she hasn't posted since February - but she's a teacher and it's the growing season and it's difficult to balance those two thing timewise.
