Chantal - Just how big is your lottie? I think you need help. I looked at the timing and thought you had put the wrong am and pm. Well done I hope you have a loo there.

I had a toilet tent on my plot (known as a Lulu), with a toilet inside but things have evolved from there. The problem with the Lulu was when the sun was behind you, everyone could see what you were doing and I was also having to empty and rinse out the toilet every day.

Now I have a permanent structure made of pallets (no roof) with the toilet inside. The toilet is half filled with straw (too much straw and it's prickly  ) and it's in constant use. It's now officially a composting toilet, when the straw turns black, the whole lot is dumped in a compost bin and we start again. Because the toilet has a lid there's no worry about rain and it's a toilet with the best view in Warwickshire :D

I was so tired this morning that I woke at 5am and although the mind was willing the body was having none of it and I stayed in bed until 7am. I'm whacked.

I have three allotments Catherine, but they are all different sizes and none are full size. It's one big plot that's 120ft on the left, 80ft on the right and around 100 ft across. My problem is I have a couple of areas that haven't been dug properly, if at all, for a couple of years. One large area had flowers seeds scattered on it and has done it's own thing for a while. There is a horrible weed (apparently some kind of knotweed) which has taken over and I've been getting it all out. It's like spaghetti but I need to do a really good job on it which is why it's taken so long.

I'll take a photo this evening JB, there's still a small patch of the hateful stuff left.

No, that really is Galinsoga Parviflora and it is mercifully not on my plot. I must take a photo of that too
