I had wondered a few times recently what he was doing and had, to my shame, assumed he had taken offence at something "said" on here and was foruming elsewhere.

He is probably very busy in heavens gardens, re-organising his bit of it to be "just so" for the big man.

Garden in peace Allan.

I too, had noticed Allan's recent absence from the forum. I offer his friends and family my deepest sympathies at this sad time.
RIP Allan, you will be missed.

I was very sorry to learn of the sad news today from John Boy and would like to add to the comments already made by forum members on behalf of all at KG. Allan will be sorely missed on this forum for his great knowledge and the lively debates he often sparked. He was a true son of the soil.
RIP Allan.

Thank you all so much for your tributes to Allan. So many of your names are familiar to me as he often talked about the Forum. JB was kind enough to come to Allan's funeral on Friday. Here is the arrangement of flowers, herbs and vegetables I made for his coffin. Image

I hope that all your vegetables flourish vigorously.
Regards, Pamela.

My condolences to you and your family Pamela, at this very sad time for you.

I think that your arrangement is very beautiful, and I find the woollen hat in there to be very moving. It makes the arrangement oh so personal......

I will miss Allans wisdom and knowledge and i'm sure that he's advising The Big Fella at this moment.

Again, my sympathies

Dear Pamela,

The arrangement of flowers you made are just perfect.
My heart goes out to you and your family.

This forum will never be quite the same without Allan sharing his years of knowledge with us all.

God bless you all.
