i think the shape of the "teeth" on the metal disk is important, mine has four large teeth but the leading edges are at an angle so i think anything tough slides along the cutting edge rather than staying put to be cut, perhaps more of a saw tooth profile would be more efficient.

I only want to cut grass and soft weeds but don't want the hassle of relacing and feeding line etc

size is the vthing.....a bump feed that takes a thick (2.4 or 3mm) line isnt a lot of hassle on soft grass and weeds,
