Unfortunately I have a complete phobia about frogs having stood on one as a child and squashed it through my toes!!! So every spring my OH removes all the frog spawn from our pond otherwise I would not be able to work in our garden if they all stayed and hatched so he relocates them every year. Soft I know but I cant help it. I am okay with the occasional one as long as I dont have to touch it but any more and oops.

Oh dear Catherine, that's such a pity. Watching the frogspawn turn into tadpoles and then tiny froglets is one of the annual pleasures of the garden for me although it does mean having to have a thorough inspection of the lawn, before it's mowed from July onwards, to ensure that none of the little froglets get chewed up by the mower blades. Sadly I won't have that chore this year. Our visiting duck gobbled up every last tadpole so next year's frog population is going to take a hit!

I wouldn't worry too much about your frog population, Primrose, because frogs live for quite a few years, predation permitting. They don't usually start breeding until they are three or four years old, so unless you get your mallards visiting every year, you should be ok on average.
