All is well again

Thanks KG Admin

Sorry about the panic -

It was slightly tongue in cheek - caused by paranoia generated by losing subza, quickly followed by my being banned to send messages to KG via the contact link.

Jason informs me it was an anti spam problem.

It's a good job that I actually had no intention of cancelling my Magazine as the only one to suffer would be me.
I feel that the administration now have a pretty good idea as to which format is the preferred one.
What I fail to understand is that a very small posting explaining the situation, which would have taken but seconds, and none of this thread need have occurred.
Thank you Chantal for your reminder as I had forgotten all about the enlargement process.
JB.

HI JB,

As mentioned before we didn't KNOW it had effected any templates. The patch was applied to wimpole as its the default for anyone not registered or new since 2007.
As soon as I'd got the forum running again I moved onto TowPath Talk's forum to apply the security patch there.
..and then to Twist & Go's forum..

Oh crikey - I don`t know what subzas are or anything. Except that they must be bad things if they made Johnboy cross.:(
I only know that I came into the site and it was all changed and I felt disoriented. - So I didn`t log on yesterday.
I`m so pleased that it`s back to normal today.
Thank you so much. :D

i must admit my initial reaction was one of horror, but after a couple of visits i got used to it, especially once i realised what the yellow spodges were for,

i think we all assumed the change was a deliberate act which we now know it wasnt.

friday afternoon we started getting hundreds of emails, all were either out of office notifications or failed delivery notices, it appears that an old email account of ours had been hijacked by spammers sending out thousands of spam emails and we got all the replies, it took quite a while to stop the ... things. i still dont know why an obsolete email address was still forwarding to an active one ...

technology is wonderful when its working properly but can be a real pain in the butt when some plonker sticks their mitts in and alters things.... even the kitten running over the keyboard can cause problems
