Seriously, I would have thought it not a good idea to add human urine to a compost heap. For one thing I think it tends to be rather acid, which rainwater is as well, and for another if you're of mature years you're probably taking all sorts of drugs (statins, beta blockers, blood pressure etc) which could have a cumulative effect?

Too acid ? Add wood ash too. You're well on the way to the traditional method of making saltpetre, or potassium nitrate, a popular fertiliser ingredient.

Add a little sulphur and charcoal from the potting shed and ..................BANG
