I took the batteries out once....just to see what would happen......there was murder.

Really funny for me watching them. It was like that bit from The Queen Of Sheba when Nanna takes the batteries out of Jim Royles remote control

Welcome back m'dear Lizzie.
The forum was quiet without you, even Herby was subdued.
I've completely lost any comprehension fo whatever you and the Grockodile are talking about (and I've only had a pint!)
but I just wanted to say that I'm irresistable to all biting insects too.
There's an internet rumour that Avon's Soft and Fresh dry oil body spray is used by the SAS as a mozzie repellant. I've tried it and it was useless. The only thing that works for me is anything comtaining DEET. Max strength should be 50% (you can get 100% but it melts plastic so probably wouldn't be any good to your skin   ).
It's truly foul stuff but sometimes needs must.

Thanks for that Jenny, but I have to be careful cos i've got sensitive skin.....think i'm just going to have to put up with it.

Can't find the clip on Youtube of the bit I meant about the remote control thingy...found this one instead. Very funny so enjoy

Dear Lizzie your holiday description sounds absolutely idyllic, it sounds as if it has a simulacrum to where i live, i feel the only big difference is, we don't have rampant tourists here. :)
