I wasn't talking about Brown and co Alan. I was talking about the hundreds of unelected QWANGO's (?) that are all round us, made up mainly of friends of parliamentarians.
What was it Rhodri said;something about QWANGO's (?) and dustbins?
Problem is with the so called Welsh and Scottish parliaments is that they are (mainly) made up of glorified county councilors, or as I prefer to call them, second class polititians, only there for the money!
No way did I vote for the setting up of the Welsh assembly (deliberate lower case)
I'm with Gordon

Ye may or ye may not remamber the auld wee sang, wi' this chorus:
A Gordon for me, a Gordon for me,
If ye're no a Gordon ye're no use to me.
The Black Watch are braw, the Seaforths and a'
But the cocky wee Gordon's the pride o' them a'.
And one for auld Maggie:
When You and I Were Young, Maggie
I wandered today to the hill, Maggie,
To watch the scene below -
The creek and the creaking old mill, Maggie,
As we used to, long ago.
The green grove is gone from the hill, Maggie,
Where first the daisies sprung;
The creaking old mill is still, Maggie,
Since you and I were young.
Chorus
And now we are agèd and grey, Maggie,
And the trials of life nearly done,
Let us sing of the days that are gone, Maggie,
When you and I were young.
A city so silent and lone, Maggie,
Where the young, and the gay, and the best,
In polished white mansions of stone, Maggie,
Have each found a place of rest,
Is built where the birds used to play, Maggie,
And join in the songs that we sung;
For we sang as lovely as they, Maggie,
When you and I were young.
Chorus
They say that I'm feeble with age, Maggie,
My steps are less sprightly than then,
My face is a well-written page, Maggie,
And time alone was the pen.
They say we are agèd and grey, Maggie,
As sprays by the white breakers flung,
But to me you're as fair as you were, Maggie,
When you and I were young.
Chorus
A Gordon for me, a Gordon for me,
If ye're no a Gordon ye're no use to me.
