Given Chantal's bestest friend I think the theme just has to be a "Cock's and Hen's Party".

I know its a fowl suggestion, but the eggstrodinary might stop OH chickening out and that would please the chicks. <groooaaannnn>

How did I know that someone would lower the tone........?! Mind you - it's a blinder of an idea!!!!

Chickens - for a hen party.

We could choose famous (or infamous) poultry.

Eggcelent idea but I'm struggling to think of famous poultry.

There's the cast of Chicken Run I suppose and Foghorn Leghorn, Chicken Little & Chanticleer. Are there any real ones out there, apart from my Rocky of course.

Will we all have to wear rubber gloves on our heads?  I already have a reputation round here for being a tad eggcentric without that.

I tried to eggsplain to Tim yesterday that I'm having an online hen party (he's going to Le Mans for a week) and he thinks I'm clinically insane.

By the way, I was told on Friday (by my outraged boss) that the RSPB are no longer using the word "cock" to describe male birds for fear of offending people. Is this true? :?

The French emblem is a cockerel.

How about the penguin masquerading as a chicken in Wallace and Grommit The Wrong Trousers?
Does that count? :?

OK then - as there aren't enough famous chickens for us all, perhaps we'll extend it to include breeds of chickens.

So you can be any sort of chicken - real or mythical, from the coup or the film set.

And - at the party - we will eggspect to see a plethora of words and language eggsociated with chickens.

Should we follow the theme into the virtual menu and the virtual food too?

In the interests of bringing a little innocent vulgarity into the thread, I think RSPB have always called them males. They have no such scruples about the shag.

Would this be a good time to point out that Rosie cat is my bestest friend, not Rocky, although he's a close second...

Chantal will come as Mrs Slocombe and have to leave early to stroke her pussy.

BTW the RSPB thing is seemingly because they are using a generic naughty language filter to protect kiddies from naughty words.

Sounds like the infamous case of Scunthorpe Council who installed a filter for naughty words on their e-mail, then wondered why no mail went out or came in.

Here's the RSPB story in, of all places, a New Zealand newspaper!

The most famous male chicken is called Up and is currently employed at many locations by our present government, his full name?

Mr Cock Up.

Dear Jopsy, i'm sorry but i have been using the beaded item of clothing to hold the allotment gate shut, and now it has got a little stretched. :D
One good thing though, it might fit a little better. :)
Kind Regards, Old Herbaceous.
