2007 Banana Shallots

Hi Alan, that's interesting.

As it happens, last year I grew Banana & Jeremor Shallots, plus Long Red Florence onions. My banana's did look different to the Red onions. Here are the Bananas:


Here for comparison are the Jeremors & Red onions:


Note the thick stalk above the Bananas at the top. These weren't part of any seed head - just a thick tube-like leaf.
