Perhaps not cricket as you say to do it that way.

Hello Jopsy,

What are 'Ocharinas' please?

Looked in my OED and it ain't there, :o it should be between 'Och' the Scottish version of 'Oh aaaagh' and 'Ochlocracy' which is 'mob rule' as we get on here sometimes

Well it is only the concise version but has hardly ever let me down.

Hi Losos

Try looking up "Why does Jopsy's Ocarina have an H in it?"

Or look at:-

Evenin' All

It's only me.....so what have I missed then? Been away on a jolly and been knackered (after said jolly) and knackered from being on the lottie. Went to Dublin last weekend with my friend Twirly and had a fab time. Was talking to some German U2 fans as we sailed into Dublin harbour. I was humming a U2 song and they recognised it and joined in. Fabulous, so were talking lyrics and favourite songs etc. Asked a Garde the way to our hotel and he said "do ya see that road over there, don't take it, it'll do yas no good cos it's going the wrong way!" Didn't do much U2 stuff as Twirls not a fan but did loads of other stuff which was brilliant. One tour bus driver decided he'd go round and round a roundabout singing the theme from the Magic Roundabout into his microphone. I thought it was hysterical but Americans were confused.

The place was full of tourists. Anyway, had a fab time and it took me 4 days to recover I was so tired. I've been invited to go to a converence in July with other Zootopians in Dublin so i'll have to see what happens.

On the lottie front, my tomatos, peppers, basil and lettuce germinated then went floppy and died. Wasn't over watered, just one minute they were upright, next minute dead. So, planted some more.

Courgettes, brassicas and loads of flowers doing well. Fruit trees are fab, tayberry got fruits on for the first time, strawberries going beserk and I finally got the spuds in today. Also planted out some rocket, sorrell and beetroot.

I love spring time. I just hope we get some rain soon. My soil's dry 6 inches down and on heavy clay that is not good. Still, nothing I can do about that except do a rain dance......

Dear Lizzie, so nice to have you back.
Glad you had a great time, bet they won't forget you in Dublin for a while. :D

I too love Spring, but there again the other seasons are pretty special to.
The ground is getting a tad dry done here as well.
Sounds as if your doing well with your allotment. :)

Harvested the last overwintering caulis today and very nice they were too, but the plants do take up an awful lot of space for an awfully long time just to produce one small, albeit perfect, cauli! When I dug the ground then, it was really hard so I am hoping for some rain in the next few days! In the garden at home, I took the cloches off the lettuces, spinach, radish, rocket and beetroot and replaced them all with wire netting (we have a very bird-friendly garden next to a nature reserve and if the veggies aren't netted, they soon get nibbled by birds), So we'd better not get any more frost!

Alan - Two thank you's, one for pointing me towards the answer and two for restoring my faith in the Concise OED :)

Oh BTW I suppose a younger person would've bypassed the OED and done a Google search which would probably have said something like "Are you sure you want Ocharinas? Try Ocarina instead!"

I can handle that in a human but it sure does rile me when some microchip in California says it

But that's the price of progress I suppose

And thanks to you too Losos.
You make it sound like I may be one of these younger people :!: Personally I think google is a wonder and I'm more than glad to have a reminder of how I should be more careful over what I type in. Very useful for people who can't spell. Try typing in Cauliflour. Not only will google ask you if you meant Cauliflower, it will give you 1380 entries from other people who also can't spell it right.
It's also very clever at spotting mistakes in Welsh :!:
