Hi Primrose,
Sleep is for younger people and just as long as I have 4 hours I can last the day out and then fall
asleep when I am watching something on television.
Hence my rather irregular time keeping.
10 o'clock news nodded off before I hear the opening sentence wake up at any time after 2am and it would be a total waste of time going to bed so I generally read or browse a bit until it is light then I am on the go. This week I have been muck spreading and ploughing and have fetched up 22 acres and sown Spring Barley. I have muck spreading for the next two weeks. I have to have a bath shortly to go down to the pub at lunchtime and put on something decent 'cos I would be thrown out wearing the clothes I have on at present. Poohey!!

I have often noticed that after 3 or 4 serious and most welcome answers to my postings, the subjects then get hijacked and sidetracked with all sorts of frivolus comments and postings. Surely the place for these is in the section General Chatter. If I wanted a light hearted series of observations I would not have posted a question in the Best Practices section that required an informative answer.
I thought that the was the reason for the forum was to get answers to relevant vegetable growing questions. Perhaps I am mistaken.

Hi Brenjon,
Of course you a correct but it is all too easy to get sidetracked and I apologise if my posting above has caused you any offence then I must apologise.

Point taken. I consider my wrists slapped. I hope the first replies you got were of some use. Trouble is that the forum is like any other conversation - not always easy to stick to the subject, and once there's a bit of sidetracking (certainly not hijacking!), it's sometimes hard to remember where the conversation started.
