i generally wear a good old boiler suit, there,s no gap arround the midle to let the cold air in and it keeps the clothes underneath clean.

Thank you so much for recommending Daleswear. :D I've just been on-line & ordered my hubbie some fleece trousers - he's been after some for ages!

My pleasure, Daleswear are a firm that started small and are now quite large in the Outdoor World but give good value

As I breed and train dogs, when I go out in the morning I always put on welingtons and waterproof overtrousers. These then stay on all the time when I am on the allotment . This saves you getting your pants dirty, wet, or smelly. They only come of when i have finished and then come into the house .If I then decide to go out again in the evening I then just slip on the wellies" that have bee previosly taken off off still"attached" to the overtrousers. Easy. You would be surprised how the overtrousers keep you warm by keeping the wind and rain out.
