on her journey she was stopped by the highway police and the officer found the fish a proceeded to arrest her , but she pleaded the case an a fight broke out between officer and fish merchant and fish merchant was shot dead by the officer YES HIGHWAY COPS IN SPAIN CARRY GUNS.
Well the officer was let of the shooting and went back to duty , that is when the banners came up and they let rip at police and goverment ,the fishing fleet stayed in and marched every day in the streets so no fish was landed so the knock on effected resturants and hotels because about 30 % of spanish diet is fish , pertitions where signed and handed in to police and goverment WELL THE OUTCOME WAS OFFICER GOT 5 YEARS , GOVERMENT LOSS THERE SEATS AT NEXT ELECTION AS PROMISED IN THE PETITION.
