WE had a problem with plum moth maggots for the first time ever this year and some of our trees are 20 years old.
I wondered whether it was connected to the late flowering and consequently late fruit development.
Our Victoria plum was the worst affected. Our two greengages Reine Claude and Mannings had no maggots at all and had no protection. Our trees tend to crop biennially which I hope should disturb the moths cycle.
