Richard, I have to disagree with your remark. To be fair the position is that as becomes obvious once you get into it that it is as simple or as complicated as you want it to be. There is a default condition, easily restored, whereby you can work it in the simplest and most obvious way by pressing one of two buttons, one represents picking up the handset and the other putting it down which is fair enough surely. Any enhancements can be added when you wish. For instance press the top of the central key to make the sound louder, the bottom makes it quieter. Next step if you so wish is a single button press and it becomes a speakerphone, press again to go back to normal. As long as you take on one enhancement at a time you get used to these things. I never expect to assimilate everything in a handbook at one go, it takes time, patience and experiment. I was born as the new age of technology was blossoming, I saw the start of television and I am determined to stay with technology (or I.T.) as long as possible. We live in a digital age, it is up to us to make the best of it, there is no going back.
