LOL! If we removed the tree we could store the chopped up bits under tarps where the tree used to be.

And erect a luxury tent and hire it out, centrally heated, for somebody who wanted to try suburban glamping !

Seriousl though, sounds like a big project and you need to think seriously how you want to handle the tree debris (ie keep the logs to dry out as a long term project as part of garden BBQs or installing a log burning stove (where will the vent be if you,re in a terraced property. or just get rid of everything) and find the right tree surgeon who can handle the whole disposal operation for you.

Primrose, I had to laugh at your "terrifying to watch" posting. We had a similar experience when we lived in Thailand. There were three guys with chainsaws swarming over a tree near us doing some cutting-back work. They had NO safety equipment whatsoever and one of them only had one arm. That was quite terrifying to watch.
