The soil was dryng really nicely yesterday and thoughts of maybe getting a seed bed ready over the allotment, were in my mind...but rain in the night and the fact that it is raining heavily again now, have stopped any more thoughts on that...in the greenhouse again for me.

After two days of some sunshine. Raining again . Ah well. Saves me getting the hose out.

This was the first night measuring the low night temperatures in the greenhouse aswell. Despite temperatures being pretty high at daytime, the night reached 1°C / 33°F this night.
I'm shocked by the huge difference!
This also goes for the humidity in there...

I don't check the humidity, but the temperatures I get are similar in swing just now, it is marginally more constant inside the small plastic greenhouse that is inside the big glass house(I have two thermometers)

I think they just about sneak into the 'Trade Description's Act'!

No home delivery, no Click & Collect & the stores to not stock? Hmm? Bit confused why you would get 31 as well?

Looks like us old coffin dodgers will be confined to barracks soon, sure I will be safe in my greenhouse, there's only me that goes in it this time of year as there's no strawberries to pinch yet.

Might have to invite S-i-L and B-i-L to stay, she's the only one of us under 70 (until May anyway) and she loves shopping so she can do all our panic buying for us.

Been to the garden centre, I was the only customer...……………………..bought some multi purpose compost and manure, so if I'm quarantined I can at least progress in the garden and the greenhouse, I have some chillies that will need potting on tomorrow.

If it is bad through the year, I wonder if vegetable thefts will soar...
They are getting things in place, in our village, for shopping, lifts and just generally looking out for people.

Hopefully they will be too frightened of coming into contact with someone to bother nicking OH. It is a weird experience shopping currently. One shop had no cleaning products left on their shelves & all shops & pharmacies were out of paracetamol. Absolutely everywhere is out of hand gel & we have even had people in the hospital filling up their own containers with gel from the ones in public places.
Wonder what the next 'necessity' might be for those prepping in case! Better not be chocolate or biscuits!;)

Maybe an allotment sign saying, 'These vegetables have been coughed upon'.

There were no digestives, pot noodles or loo rolls in Morrisons in Arbroath this morning, that's some sad diet they are planning on surviving on...…………………….
