Problem is I don't know how much she put into the mix. Would try a couple of tablespoons to start with.

I did watch her a few times when I lived with her, but that was rather a long time ago !

My wife always uses marmalade in bread and butter pudding, is that the same thing? New Year luxury is it made with the last of the panettone.
