Any eggs yet Codger?
I honestly don't know why Codger speaks to me, as i do give him a rough time.
For instance. i took my heavy duty post rammer over the other day to drive the posts in, when we had finished he was breathing like someone well into their seventies, then realized he is....

No eggs today. OH they will have to settle down first after the shock of seeing you this morning that's put them right off .

By the way A very young seventy, if you are not careful you won't live to see sixty.

My new girls done me proud 10 eggs out of 20 which is very good as they are very nervous at the moment with being moved into new house and run.

Morning Codger, that's very good. What a day it turned out to be yesterady, didn't it, i don't think it stopped raining all day!

My new hens are doing very well, I had 16 eggs today which is good from 20 hens they are not quiet so frightened, I have been working in the run today and they have Been wandering around me.

I'm thinking of building a boat for my new girls we have had nothing but rain all day, they have been under the shelter all day long what a boring life even for a chicken

Mine dont like all this wet stuff they spend all day under the shelter I made for them apart from when they get their porridge in the mornings then its every bird for themselves, 1 egg in 2 days not good

I think you are feeding your girls to well, mine don't get porridge in the morning they only get there pellets.
