Not sure about that as looking up on the internet I came across this
sa•hibˈsɑ ɪb, -ib(n.)
(in colonial India) sir; master: a term of respect used in addressing or referring to a European.
Category: Indian (India)
Origin of sahib:
1690–1700; < Urdu < Ar ṣāḥib master, lit., friend
I dont mind the term of respect bit but "master" mmmm dont think so.
