Very relieved at how it has turned out, after being told there was nothing they could do.

Was out with the dog this afternoon and a lady in a wheelchair dropped some letters which promptly blew away up the road. Muggins here did nothing more but break into a run and chase them down. Wouldn't have been able to do that a few weeks ago

Just thought I might add my ha'penny's worth to break the male preponderance: all the season's have their pros and cons, haven't they? My personal favourite is probably autumn, because it has the promise of spring to it, something to look forward to. The planning for next year, the ordering of seeds and plants, the planting of bulbs .....

What a gloriously starlit night tonight, very still, so different from this morning's howling storm and rain and hail showers! No great damage here (though we have not yet checked the allotment), but plenty of fallen branches and errant wheelie bins!

Thinking of all those living on the east coast and hoping all goes well.

Remarkably calm here today. Went for a walk along the seafront this afternoon and a lot of shingle has been washed up onto the promenade, but otherwise nothing out of the ordinary

Picked some whitefly with sprouts clinging to them this morning

I have very kindly been given about 400 tulip bulbs, so busy potting them up into tubs this morning. The thought of things to be.....

Afternoon Peter, there was Apeldoorn/scarlet, Golden Apeldoorn/yellow, Ivory Floradale/what i take are white, then a un-named bag, which all look to be the same variety. There were just over 5oo in total, all potted up now, and can't wait to see them in bloom.

They will make a beautiful sight in spring, OH!
I love tulips and grow lots of them every year. For 2014 I am trying a mixture of purple (Havran) and orange red (Annie Schilder) together and also Appeldoorn (cherry red), Red Emperor (bright red and short) and Daytona, a white fringed tulip which worked particularly well last spring. All our tulips need to be very sturdy because it's a rather windy garden.

Yes I did. Nothing wrong with the poetry or the garden by the sound of it. How long ago was it recorded, sounded like at least a month? And a fine surname to boot, hadn't remembered that from the other interviews, nickname cast?
