Allan, I posted this thread. At no time have I said I am an organic gardener. I dislike therefore being criticised for being contradictory, when all I asked was : should I ditch the seeds I've planted in toilet rolls now they've gone mouldy?

That message above was from me. And I meant to say, thank you for the advice on drainage, people - I've hopefully sorted the drainage thing out now (looks for a crossed fingers emoticon)

It does not matter which way you look at an argument I am afraid that everytime you enter the debate Allan it gets boring, pedantic, and argumentative, you do it your way we will do it ours, when we ask for advice if you can't say anything positive or constructive, give it a rest, I personally am praying that your internet connection fails for a few days to give us all a break. I have resisted this critical approach and would asks that the moderators have a word with you to lighten your approach, me thinks you have a problem. It is not necessary to take everything to the Nth degree every time .... or is it??
Yours very sincerely

Guys,
As the original question has been answered and the problem, I hope, is now under control, I am very tempted to lock this topic as it has wandered waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay off topic. This is not a step I want or wish to take but if people continue to argue then we may have to.
The Organic/Non Organic debate has been well aired recently and I don’t think we need to go over old ground again in relation to toilet rolls of all things!
I will hold off for now but will be watching closely

I've kept out of it lately. A simple statement of fact which I am totally prepared to defend has led to a totally irrational response and at that level there is no point in going on with it.It concerns only 100% organic devotees and nobody else so that excludes all these vocal critics. If the person concerned wishes to discuss it further he has my e-mail address.Let's close the book and hope next time people can read and understand the English language before they vent their rage on me.

All power to your internet connection, Allan.
Pay no attention to this rudeness from certain quarters!
It would be far better directed at some of the mind-numbing puerile chat about fags, tarts, sprout wine, trotters, the self-satisfied, smirking Mr A T and so on and on and on that has crept into forum in recent months.
Keep on posting.

Oh please DO please close the thread. As you say, it lost its purpose when it got to personalities. Let it not be said that I got in the way, however that won't stop us going through all this again on another thread, it's happened before (remember rabbit fencing) and the real source of such irritation is still with us and no doubt will find reason to brawl again. Meanwhile I will all I can to further the cause of Kitchen Gardening, I was doing so on Kitchengardens e-list long before this magazine and forum were started and we never have this problem there.
John, I do agree about all those other "topics", I lose respect for all that lot and those who see fit to be associated with those goings-on, it's all right to have the odd joke but there comes a time to stop.
