I didn't explain myself clearly or you misunderstood, I only spray green stuff and I do allow it growing time to die. It can sprout again presumably because it has seed-bank within the turf.

If you refer to the cow-poo pile, it gets a complete growth-covering of all-sorts growing in the outer layers.
