It's the little things that make a good Xmas. We have a lot of demented folk at work & they can not necessarily remember their family or how to function but they can remember Xmas. Some have never looked me in the eye but will do so when pulling a cracker & will put on the silly hat & will even eat something Xmassy when they are in the very end stage of the disease and won't even understand eating or drinking.

Xmas can deliver what it is hyped to do but you do have to look a little closer!
