All praise to Clare Balding though. She is an excellent presenter who really know does know her stuff and is a pleasure to listen to. She comes from a strong sporting background which I suppose helps a lot.

The bit that annoyed me the most was the scruffy blond-haired guy (yeah, I don't watch much tv!) saying "I think we've outdone **** (the last Olympics)".

Hi Westi congrats on your 600th post, got a lot of catching up to do.
Do you have much interest in sailing, fantastic Ainslie’s done it again and the other lads a Silver medal in the Star Class. Needed a lot more wind to be really exciting though. We don’t race these days but still potter around the harbour in a 15ft Albacore named after the WW1 airplane of that name.

Sorry, wrong age and should have said the Fairy Battle Albacore was built early WW2, not 1.

Hubby's family are sailing mad - me I like the motor....Even got an international speed boat licence. Truth is I get confused with a tiller so you can imagine the drama when I'm in charge..no wonder we sold the Heron it got too costly to repair!
