So can only wear flip-flops.....these are not what you should be wearing in the rain...and certainly not to the allotment...all I am allowed to do is keep leg raised And supervise...holiday in 3 weeks...I could start a new beach look....interesting

Dear Donedigging, so, so sorry to read you are poorly. I do hope the wretched ulcers clear up with all possible haste, and that you are back fighting fit soon.

Just wondered if the scary thought of me visiting in a Doctors uniform, might scare you into better health.....

Sorry to hear you have leg ulcers, hope it improves soon, is the circulation in the legs poor? I went on special courses re ulcers. Can be due to poor blood supply to the limb or poor venous return from the limb. There are natural ways to improve circulatory health, message me if you need help. Hope you are getting good advice.

I sympathise DoneDigging, I was in the same situation for weeks earlier this year.
Best avoid getting anything else in the ulcers just in case.

Wales is well into another long spell of cold and rain. My summer clothes are ready by the kitchen door - wellingtons and two waterproof jackets.
The longest days of midsummer seem remarkably dark and short.

A most awful morning here too, just seems no let up to it at all......

Had an e-mail from one of our granddaughters who is working for a while in Pietermaritzburg in South Africa. At the winter solstice she said it was cold at nights but a steady 23-25C in the daytime, with 27C forecast for today at the coast near Durban. And we call what we've got summer

Just to prove that my frequent pessimism is well founded. 27 June 7.15 am and it's drizzly and foggy. Rain yesterday and more to come! At least Monday was sunny.

We had a lovely day yesterday, very sunny but humid. Did think we'd have a storm but we only got rain and that was through the night. This morning is bright, dry but already very, very warm. My plants are loving it

Warm, damp and steamy here today - should make things grow!

Getting on well today, hoeing and mowing etc, etc...then the storm came upon us with the most actively boiling clouds I have ever seen.
40mm rain in no time at all. The pond is certainly up now...the drains from the main lawn and under the vegetable garden that haven't run for a few years were gushing.
There has sadly been some water damage in the Hall and I have just come in from manning a water pump which helped another nearby property from flooding....although it has got in the below floor air bricks but did not get above floor level.

The garden at home here is swamped and whilst there was less downfall some came as hail which has shredded things somewhat and flattened the Tatey tops giving a very end of summer look....

The Ashby river is well up and the Partney beck to the top, higher than I have ever seen it, even in 2007 floods.
